A road trip to Minneapolis last weekend made for excellent crochet time.  Three of the four granny squares are off the hook:

I'm still loving them, but the autumnal colors no longer seem quite so apropos after we saw 9" of snow fall while I was in MN.  The snow was just beautiful, and I got to trim the tree, decorate the china hutch, and bake pfeffernüse with my mum.
The new Johanna quilt is just perfect for winter.
Capricha has taken to spending every morning snuggled up in the down comforter at the end of the bed. Smart girl!
Pattern designers seem to be reading my mind right now:

- Ysolda has put her Last-Minute Stockings pattern on sale. I'd *just* been thinking about knitting some stockings to hang over the fireplace.

- Jane Richmond is having a 50% off pattern sale.  Hurray, as I've been eyeing the Oatmeal Pullover pattern for quite some time, and winter break seems like the perfect time to knit one.
For all of the Jane Austen aficionados out there:

Delightful! Richard Armitage, be still my heart.

That montage is awesome. Helloooooo, Alan Rickman.

Also, thanks for the heads up about Jane Richmond's sale! I've been wanting two of her hat patterns, so buy one get one was great!

And now I'm off to watch Sense and Sensibility for the eleventy-millionth time.

Love the grannies! Something so homey and cosy about grannies, isn't there?
And that quilt -- so pretty! I was so wanting the beautiful Haverhill afghan from Garnet Hill but trop cher for me ;(. I think they're sold out now - guess I'll have to try to make one.
And that YouTube video -- so fun! Can't decide which one of those handsome guys is my fav -- probably still Colin F.
Holiday Blessings to you,

Oooh, so many good links! That montage made my day. Nothing like pretty knits (on sale!) and pretty men (set to music) to keep up one's spirits.

The video was hilarious! I feel like I need to knit or crochet and watch a Jane Austen adaptation. I must make haste!

Loved the montage! I've nearly memorized most of those movies... but there are three I have not seen. Thanks for the smile.

Love that clip, thanks for posting it!

The Granny squares look great - autumn/winter, close enough.

Great montage! Time to curl up with my knitting and streaming Netflix.

The granny squares look lovely (and it's really nice to see how much crafting can get done on a drive up to Minneapolis)! I'm hoping to do a bunch of knitting on our drive up in a couple of weeks.

Is it horrible that I can identify all those movies without a thought? Sounds like you've been busy... love the granny squares!

You timed your trip well - the 9" of snow was a lot easier to deal with than the 18" this weekend!

Bless you, Jodi, for delivering those tasty British goods. The horses, the dueling, the shirt ripping open. Oh, my.

Really love the quilt design and colors. Capricha is a smart girl.

Adore that video and sent it on to a few friends who are Austen fans. I'm sure it will brighten their day!

I'm a somewhat new fan, so I don't know who played Captain Wentworth in Persuasion, but that is my favorite. Go dark haired girls!
