cabling along

Sunne has confirmed that the LMKG scarf does curl quite a bit. Since my brother is definitely a low-maintenance guy when it comes to his wardrobe, I frogged it and started on the Guy Scarf, my first cable project. Cables are fun and not so tricky after all, especially since I'm using a cable needle.

The first Campfire sock has been done since last Friday. I'm very pleased with it, but it's true that DK weight socks are a little difficult to cram into shoes. They're just fine with clogs, though. Perhaps I'll branch out and try sportweight socks next, but I'm still keeping my distance from those size 0 needles.
Here's a little feline goodness to get you through the day:

oh my goodness...I wish my cats still cuddled like that. What cuties!

Try knitting fingering weight on size 2s first. I need to knit a pair of DK weight socks here soon.

The elusive 2 headed tabby certainly looks comfy.

Size 2s are my needles of choice. There is also a 1.5 which works pretty well too ;) I haven't tried DK, or even sportweight, yet. Your sock looks great! Perfect for Project Spectrum!

I'm partial to fingering weight & size 1's. It's a lot quicker than it seems!

The two headed tabby is absolutely precious! :)

I like the guy scarf alot. Aren't cables fun? And the sock looks great, sometimes the thick ones are good even just for around the house.

I really like the cabled scarf. Nice job. You're right to want to stay away grom size 0 needles; I've gotten used to using them. I may not like it always, but I have.

Spooning cats...my cat just attacks other cats, no cuddling there. Yeah on your sock.

Love your campfire socks! You can find some great sock yarn that knits perfectly "thin" socks on #1's or #2's.I'd wait for the zero's, they are a little tedious!
