sofa city, sweetheart

I managed to catch a nasty cold while spending far too much time at doctor's offices last week. Blech! The upside? Lots of knitting/tv time, plus Paul tended to many of my (increasingly crazy) whims. As much as I am a homebody, too much time spent housebound makes me nuts. Paul does make a pretty terrific hot toddy (a family cold remedy on my mum's side).
Good thing that True Blood has strong healing properties. So trashy, but so addictive...

I knit two of these cozy Armando hats -- red for me, charcoal grey for Paul. I love the texture! The pattern is easy to follow. I knit 7.5 repeats of the "lace" pattern (manliest lace I've ever seen, btw, but it does feature yarnovers and thus does technically qualify, I suppose).  Using smaller needles (US 7)  was a good choice. I'll definitely knit more of these, especially since the holidays are just around the corner.

The Oatmeal Pullover has been frogged, and these lovely balls of Puffin are ready for me to unvent the Pottery Barn scallop-knit throw.

Capricha is taking over Kylie's old job as clean-laundry tester. So cute, but I'll have to rewash that towel...

Have you seen the granny square tree skirt? I pinned it over on Pinterst if you need to see it.

And why is it that going to the doctor's office means you end up sick? Hope you feel better fast.

And Capricha is only doing her duty. Mimi prefers quilts. And for you to put the clean towels on her favorite chair.

Hope you're feeling much better!

I know just what you mean about True Blood. It's just so much more FUN than the books.

I love the choice of colour in your crochet blanket. Very stylish.

I make a lot of crochet blankets, and you know what happens. Finish a blanket, spread it out on a chair or bed to admire it. Go for a coffee and come back 2 minutes later to find that a cat has managed to find it. I think that they can smell fresh crochet (and laundry) from a mile away.
Best wishes and I hope you feel better soon.

Oh no! Feel better soon! Alice spends a lot of time keeping the laundry in check, too ... I'm really going to have to get on this True Blood business ... and maybe that hat as well.

A hot toddy sounds lovely if the cold doesn't! Hope you're feeling better now....

That Pottery Barn throw looks really cute! The scalloped edges look almost like Nicky Epstein's Sugar Scallops. Much nicer use of the oatmeal pullover yarn - I'm prejudiced against raglans because I usually look like an ice cream scoop in one.

Capricha is doing a lovely job. So dedicated. Such work ethic.

Ok, so True Blood is one of my favorite shows, and yes-super trashy, but who cares! It's not like I'm watching it with my grandma. And plus-I can get so much knitting done when I binge on episodes.

Also, your kitty picture makes me smile.

Hmmmm...just cast on for a hat for my brother but now may need to reconsider my pattern choice. Like this one!

That blue is going to make a lovely throw! Hope you are feeling better by now!

I can't wait to see the Quince yarn worked up into the blanket. All that garter stitch should be quick, too.

And I love the hats. I'll definitely keep that pattern in mind for J's next hat.
