yarn along: books and buttons

Joining Ginny for this week's yarn along:

I picked up All the Light We Cannot See again and am mesmerized -- can't wait to see how the two narratives mingle together. Also reading Beautiful Ruins for book club -- good, but I don't like it when authors take the easy way out when drawing characters by referring to technology and current trends -- not only is it sloppy, the book will become dated very quickly, and usually not in a good way. Also contemplating buttons for a Granny's Favourite Cardigan for Bridget. Need to decide quickly, as it will fit her for about five minutes!

I haven't read either of those books, but I've seen them on a lot of lists. That sweater is adorable. Love the color.

I liked, but didn't love, both of those books.

I loved All the LIght We Cannot See; it's beautifully written. I've read it twice; I read it early last year and had to read it again for book gorup last month.

I thought the other book was good, but not as elegant.

Sweet cardi!

Love the cute wee cardigan! I read Beautiful Ruins last year - I think I liked it but I'm having a hard time remembering the details of it! :)
