not a shawl, for once

Fall must be in the air, as I have socks on the needles:

Scandinavian clog sock

The only thing that's different this time is that I might actually finish the pair right away! The pattern's called Turkish Bed Socks, from Churchmouse Yarns & Teas on Bainbridge Island, a place I've been wanting to visit for ages but just haven't made it to yet.  It's my first time using Koigu, though I've had a few skeins marinating in the stash for years.

These socks are supposed to be great with Danskos, which sounds perfect, as I wear Danskos all the time once sandal season ends.  Egads, my foot looks ghostly pale!

Thanks to everyone for such lovely comments on my last post!  I appreciate each and every one. Ever since I switched from Haloscan to Blogger comments, I've had a terrible time replying to comments (hitting "reply" just doesn't work for many people).  If anyone has any tips, please share!

Very nice! I purchased this pattern also a few months ago, and have Koigu in my stash; I just haven't gotten to them yet. Was it a fun knit?

Oh, those are cool! *bookmarks*

From what I remember of blogger, the people you can't reply to don't have an email address set up in their blogger profile...

I remember being drawn to the pattern when I first saw it at my LYS. Yours look great. I too live in Danskos so I may just have to knit up a pair!

Whenever you and Paul make it out here, I'd be very happy to take you to Churchmouse. It's really a lovely shop a beautiful ferry ride away. Love how the socks are turning out.

I have the same pattern in my queue and for the same reasons. I too wear Danskos on my very pale feet. Your lovely ones remind me that I should get going on them. And I dream of going to Churchmouse, though sadly, it's a bit more than just a ferry ride away for me...

As far as comments go, I also have the same frustrations, though sadly, no answers.

Great socks! This is another pattern I have been meaning to try - I even downloaded the pdf right to my Kindle for easy portability - still - no socks. I love my Danskos, I think they deserve these:)

Totally cracking up over the "Pooh" routine. My sister in law's dog does this thing where he suckles the nose of his stuff animal. It's the funniest thing to watch.

Lovely shawl. I especially like the picot eding.
